Corrie McClary    "Do Hard Things"

Matthew 5:13-16 (The Message)
The hardest thing for us to do is to be consistent in our walk with God.   God has a vision for us.  We are the Salt of the Earth.   Bring flavor to a distasteful world.   We are the minority among the majority in a corrupt world.
1 - humility
2 - adding to our faith
3 - reconciliation
4 - deciding to go

1 - humility
1 Peter 5:6-11 (The Message)
How do we respond to bad circumstances?
If we're prideful, we do it all ourselves.
vs. 10   he waits for us to get it.   We want to be right instead of righteous.

2 - adding to our faith
God has a process for you to add to your faith
Hebrews 12:7-11 (The Message)
God is educating you, it's not punishment, it's training
Add to your faith by accepting God's discipline
He's trying to build us to accept His discipling, endure it and learn from it
Later on, it reaps a harvest of righteousness
They'll be attracted by our lives to God

3 - reconciliation
2 Corinthians 5:17-20 (The Message)
Become friends with God.   God has forgiven us, why can't we do it with each other?

Instead of a bonfire, we need to have a bondfire -- write down things that bother us, have some conversations, throw it all in the fire and have a fresh start.  The Charlotte church needs to be reconciled to do what God wants us to do.  We are not married to a movement, we are married to God.

God never changes.   The movement has been around for 2000 years.

Let's have a consecration party and get rid of the demons in our closets.   When they first visited the church, they had never seen love like that.   How can we be the salt of the earth?

Be who God wants us to be.  We shouldn't need a fellowship break in the service -- we should just make sure we fellowship.   It should be on our harts all the time.   Corrie wants us to grow .  He wants the new Christians to see the victories the older Christians have seen.   If he does on like this, he's going to die a slow spiritual death.   Make sure he is taking care of his family -- hold him accountable.

4 - Let's go
Satan gets us focused on all these other things.   There are times he feels like Moses, putting out fires all day long.   It shouldn't be the majority of his job.   It should be preaching God's word and building his kingdom.   He's learned when he's about other people and other people's lives, his problems are really small.   Other people's lives give us perspective.

God didn't choose us to be a blessing to ourselves.   Let's talk.    Let's be like Nike and "Just do it!".
