II. The Tragedy of Sin: Failure without Faith

When we live without faith in God, where do we end up?

“For all have sinned and fall short of the glory of God”

We must understand what sin is

Romans 14:23 - whatever is not of faith is sin

I John 3:4 – sin is breaking God’s law

Romans 3:23 – sin is falling short of God and His standards

We are all different, but we have all sinned

We must see how we have sinned in our own lives

Mark 7:20-23 – sin comes from our hearts

Galatians 5:19-21 – sin comes from our sinful nature

Sin, if not dealt with, has fatal consequences

John 8:34 – a life of slavery

Romans 6:23 – the death penalty

We must be urgent to make things right with God

Acts 2:36-37 – convicted and eager for salvation
